I recently had the absolute pleasure of attending Pengembaraan U.S. Potatoes Di Dapur Nusantara, a live cooking event held on February 27, 2025, at TCH Foodworks in Kuala Lumpur. Let me just say—U.S. Potatoes really brought their A-game this year!

A Culinary Showcase Like No Other
This exciting event celebrated the versatility of U.S. Potatoes in a uniquely Nusantara setting. The moment I arrived, the vibrant Potato Showcase caught my eye—featuring a variety of U.S. potato types including Russet, Red, and Purple potatoes, plus frozen and instant varieties that are perfect for both festive and everyday meals. And yes, being the content creator that I am, I couldn’t resist snapping photos at the stylish photo booth setup. Plus, the interactive social media contest added that extra sprinkle of fun throughout the day.
Curated Menu by Culinary Stars: Chef Bob & Chef Imran

One of the biggest highlights was the curated menu crafted by two talented chefs—Chef Bob from Malaysia and Chef Imran from Singapore. Their cross-border collaboration was all about exploring the power of U.S. Potatoes in modern Nusantara cuisine. Think local flavors with a creative twist!
Here are some of the standout dishes I had the chance to try:

Loaded Daging Salai Potato Wedges
And my personal favorite: U.S. Potatoes Donuts with Orange Cream
Yes, I Have a Sweet Tooth—and That Potato Donut Was Everything!
I have to say it loud and proud: I loved the potato donut. Soft, golden, with a hint of citrus from the orange cream… it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Who would’ve thought U.S. Potatoes could shine in a dessert? It’s official—I’m obsessed.

There were also fun, hands-on activities where we got to assemble our own potato platters featuring Kuih Bakar Potato, Angku Kuih Potato, Samosa, Potato Pudding, Tofu Bergedil, and more. It was like a mini culinary workshop, and honestly, I enjoyed every minute of it.
A Heartfelt Thank You to U.S. Potatoes

Big thanks to U.S. Potatoes for inviting me to be a part of this delicious experience. Not only did I learn so much about the versatility of U.S. Potatoes, but I also left feeling inspired to experiment more with them in my own kitchen.
Whether you’re a home cook or just someone who appreciates good food, I highly recommend keeping U.S. Potatoes on your radar. They’re nutritious, versatile, and as I learned—perfect for both savory and sweet dishes.
Until the next adventure—stay tuned on my socials for more behind-the-scenes and foodie fun!
