TAMASHII SPOT POP UP X ULTRA HEROES at MyTOWN Kuala Lumpur. | Ultraman is back in Malaysia with an exciting new event—the TAMASHII SPOT POP UP X ULTRA HEROES 2024—now happening at Central Town, Ground Floor, MyTOWN Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Running for 10 days from October 18th to October 27th, 2024, this event will be open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, so there’s plenty of time to join in on the fun!

I was lucky enough to attend the opening day of TAMASHII SPOT POP UP X ULTRA HEROES, and it was absolutely buzzing with excitement! By noon, a long line of dedicated Ultraman fans had already formed around the exhibit area, all eager to get their hands on exclusive Ultraman figurines when the sales booths opened at 12 PM.

Ultraman Battles Evil Kaiju Live On Stage

One of the main attractions of this event is the exclusive live performance featuring Ultraman Arc and other Ultra Heroes battling iconic monsters on stage. It’s an incredible spectacle where you’ll see Ultraman Arc, Ultraman Zero, Ultraman Belial, and Bemzeed in action, alongside some of the most recognizable evil kaiju from the series.

My friends and I had the chance to watch the performance, and I have to say—it was absolutely entertaining! The 20-minute show is packed with intense, edge-of-your-seat action. If we as adults were so captivated, I can only imagine how thrilled the kids in the audience must have been, seeing their Ultraman heroes fighting live right in front of them!

Ultraman fans—don’t miss out! The first performance kicks off on October 19th at 1 PM, with encore shows scheduled on October 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th at 1 PM, 3:30 PM, and 6 PM. (Note that showtimes may change without prior notice.)

Meet and Greet with Ultraman

In addition to the live performances, there’s also a Meet and Greet session where fans can take photos with Ultraman Arc and Ultraman Zero after each performance. To qualify for this, you’ll need to spend RM200 at the event or purchase an S.H.Figuarts figure. However, spots for the photo session are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you’re quick!

I was fortunate enough to grab a spot and take photos with both Ultraman Arc and Ultraman Zero—a total throwback to my childhood days when I was fascinated by Ultraman’s battles against monsters and evil forces!

Life-Sized Ultraman Statues

While you’re at the event, don’t miss the chance to take a picture with the life-sized Ultraman statues of Ultraman Arc and Ultraman Blazar. These 2-meter-tall statues are positioned at the entrance of the TAMASHII SPOT POP UP X ULTRA HEROES exhibit and are perfect for photo ops!

The Latest Ultraman Figures

Aside from the performances and photo sessions, you’ll also get a close look at the latest Ultraman figures from Tamashii Nations, including exclusive Tamashii Spot figurines displayed at the event.

Besides Ultraman figures, there are various other anime figures on display and available for purchase here, such as One Piece, Dragon Ball, Masked Rider, Naruto, Hell's Paradise, and many more, all offered at very affordable prices.
