TV ALHIJRAH ILLUMINATES RAMADAN WITH 22 SPECIAL PROGRAMS THIS RAMADAN. | Ramadan is a month of spiritual reflection and acts of kindness. During this holy month, all Muslim are recommended to do more deeds in every aspect of life. 

Watching TV can be a great Ibadah if you watch the right channel and shows. As the month of Ramadan, anticipated to be welcomed by all Muslims on March 12, approaches, TV AlHijrah is presenting a variety of interesting programs for its loyal viewers. 

Ramadan Mentadabbur Keindahan 

Ramadan Mentadabbur Keindahan(Ramadan Contemplating Beauty) will be this year's theme for TV AlHijrah, where they has arranged programs that educate the soul with knowledge, preaching, and wisdom. 

This noble effort aims to encourage the community to utilize Ramadan as a blessed month to contemplate the beauty that Allah has bestowed upon His servants who adhere to the teachings of the Quran.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na'im Bin Haji Mokhtar, urged everyone, especially the viewers, to join in multiplying prayers and supplications to continue to be granted the blessing of faith and Islam and to be kept away from the trait of arrogance. 

He further emphasized that viewers should also be aware and informed about humanitarian issues and compassion in the effort to continue spreading beauty in life. 

"The role of TV AlHijrah as one of the Islamic Affairs agencies in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) is to provide social education to the community to foster mutual affection and assistance throughout this noble month. 

"It is the desire of the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) to continue to see TV AlHijrah as a leading station in disseminating the merciful values of Islam and government messages, especially the agenda to develop MADANI Malaysia. 

"Alhamdulillah, thanks to the hard work and dedication of all TV AlHijrah staff, this station consistently earns the high trust of the people," he said. 

He also stated that Ramadan is a month that undoubtedly records an increase in viewership on TV AlHijrah.  

22 Special Programs this Ramadan

"During last year's Ramadan in 2023, the viewership on TV AlHijrah was 6.4 million views. This year, the target increase in viewership has increased by 10 percent, jumping to 7 million views throughout Ramadan.

"This Ramadan, TV AlHijrah will broadcast 22 special programs for viewers. The breakdown is 20 internal and syndicated production programs such as 'Apa Cerita Kome' with Ustaz Dato’ Mohd Kazim Elias that will be aired two times a day, 'Ihya Ramadan' sponsored by Digital Khair application by Qudwah Technology, 'Ibrah Ramadan', 'Camca', 'Sembang Moreh', 'Peristiwa Ramadan', 'Ayat Riwayat Risalah Anbiya', and many more. Additionally, there is one branded content program called 'Ehsan'.

"A total of 308.5 hours are allocated to broadcast all these programs, with an increase of 17.8 percent broadcast hours compared to last year," he explained. 

Mohd Na’im also explained that for the first time, TV AlHijrah will broadcast an Arab serial drama depicting the life journey of one of the four famous mujtahid imams who developed the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence, Imam Al-Shafi'i. 

"This drama, 'Risalah Imam Al-Shafi'i', will be aired in 30 episodes, every day at 6 p.m. Additionally, two top Ramadan films that will be shown are 'Imam' and 'Perjalanan Pertama'.

 "'Imam' is a local film produced in 2023 and directed by Mior Hashim Manap, which is an adaptation of the novel of the same title by National Laureate Abdullah Hussain. This movie will be aired for the first time on National TV after airing in the cinemas.

"We want to reach out to new viewers with film and drama segments. Religious programs are not limited to lectures, forums, and reminders alone. Films and dramas are also effective forms of preaching when done well. This is part of TV AlHijrah's struggle in the broadcasting preaching context," he said. 

He added that to ensure that young people are encouraged to understand and appreciate the Quran, TV AlHijrah also allocated 141 hours of broadcast time to air four special programs centered on the Divine Word. These programs are 'Syahadah al-Furqan', 'Khatam Ramadan', 'Tadarus Quran@114', and 'Kapsul Taranum Challenge'. 

The launch ceremony of TV AlHijrah's Ramadan Contemplating Beauty Program was also attended by TV AlHijrah's Chairman, Mohd Khair Ngadiron, and TV AlHijrah's Chief Executive Officer, Namanzee Harris.

Meanwhile, Namanzee mentioned that, for the first time, TV AlHijrah has collaborated with Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) and its aim to attract more viewer to watch TV AlHijrah during their long journey with ETS.

"We are the first media station to collaborate with ETS KTM and set TV AlHijrah on-trend. Currently, ETS has regained popularity among users, and the number of users has increased, as reported they had a 5millions users last year.

Therefore, this year-long collaboration aims to promote TV AlHijrah to the public as a medium of preaching and hopes to benefit its users. There will also be several programs involving ETS trends throughout Ramadan and the following months."

This will be a great initiative from TV AlHijrah to market their products to all ETS users and passengers can download TV AlHijrah apps when they take the train. And the internet won't be a problem as ETS provides free wifi on their train.
