Exploring Seven Types of Laksa at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic. | Greetings, friends and readers! I'm thrilled to share my recent adventure from a 5-day, 4-night Fam Trip in Langkawi. We had fun exploring Langkawi with their legendaries and hidden gems.

Among the many wonderful discoveries, one hidden gem stood out on our first-day visit there is MakLang by Ilham Ceramic.

My New Experience Eating Various Types of Laksa at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic

Laksa holds a special place in my heart, and I've always had a penchant for northern-style laksa, whether it's the Penang variant or the one from Kedah. Our lunch stop at MakLang was truly a delight, as it boasted not one or two, but seven different types of laksa on its menu. Yes, you heard it right – seven!

But what exactly are these seven laksa varieties? Let me take you through each one as I recount my experience at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic, also fondly known as Cafe MakLang 1952.

Getting Acquainted with MakLang by Ilham Ceramic

Nestled in Kampung Bendang Baru, Langkawi, MakLang by Ilham Ceramic is no ordinary cafe. Officially opening its doors on February 1, 2023, this establishment has a unique origin story.

According to its visionary founder, Mr. Mohammad Radzi, the idea sprouted during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Initially a ceramic studio offering classes, the influx of stranded foreign tourists in Langkawi seeking activities led to the inception of food provision services.

And thus, MakLang by Ilham Ceramic came into being, serving up recipes passed down through generations, all under the loving influence of Mr. Radzi's own mother, fondly referred to as MakLang.

Stepping into Cafe MakLang 1952

MakLang Cafe exudes charm with its quaint size and inviting ambiance, complete with both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. Adorned with classic Malay decor and serenaded by timeless Malay tunes, the atmosphere is undeniably soothing.

Now, onto the main event – the food!

Exploring the Laksa Galore at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic

Now, let's dive into the delectable offerings at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic. The menu spans from breakfast delights to lunchtime favorites and afternoon tea treats. But what truly sets it apart is the array of seven laksa options available for patrons:

1. Laksa Biasa

2. Laksa Udang

3. Laksa Isi Ketam

4. Laksa Kepah

5. Laksa Campur

6. Laksa Telur Goreng

7. Laksa Sambal Sotong

With such a tempting selection, choosing just one is no easy feat! Each variant boasts its own distinct flavor profile, but for me, the highlight lies in the rich, flavorful broth – a hallmark of a good laksa.

Rice Set

For those not inclined towards laksa and always a rice person, fear not! MakLang offers rice set options like Nasi Lemak and plain rice sets, equally tantalizing in taste. The Masak Lemak is delicious and definitely different from we had here in Negeri Sembilan.

Final Thoughts and Pricing

As for the prices, they are fair and reasonable, considering the generous portions and top-notch quality of the dishes. On regular days, MakLang operates every day except Thursdays and Fridays, from 8 am to 6 pm. During Ramadan, the cafe respectfully closes its doors to observe the fasting month.

In conclusion, my journey at MakLang by Ilham Ceramic was nothing short of delightful. It's not just a dining experience; it's a culinary journey steeped in tradition, love, and the flavors of Malaysia.
