Discovering the Allure of Pulau Tuba: A 3-Day Getaway with BesTuba in Langkawi!| Greetings, dear friends and readers! I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. It seems that the allure of my recent LANGKAWI FAM Trip adventure still holds me captive in its memories.
Spanning five delightful days and four enchanting nights, my latest escapade led me to Pulau Tuba, a hidden gem nestled within the pristine landscapes of Langkawi. For three days and two nights, I found myself immersed in the natural wonders of Pulau Tuba, courtesy of BesTuba. But what exactly is BesTuba, you may wonder?
Fear not, for I am here to unravel its mysteries and share with you the tale of our unforgettable journey. So, without further ado, let the adventure begin!
BESTUBA: KOPTUBAS
Until now, Pulau Tuba is inhabited by 100-percent Malays with a total of 5000 residents, consisting of 400 to 500 families. The main occupation on Pulau Tuba is as a fisherman, but many young people work on the largest island by commuting by boat.
FIRST DAY IN TUBA ISLAND
JPK - TUBA ISLAND JETTI
The journey from Kuah Tourism Jetty to Pulau Tuba Jetty is around 10 minutes to 15 minutes only. For information, the fare for this mining boat is only RM5 one way.
LUNCH AT KAK TIMAH CHE NOOR
Lunch on that day was brought by Kak Timah Che Noor Restaurant. The menu that is eaten is definitely a Malay village menu that is cooked with love. I really like manu and side dishes like this.

HIKING & CAVING IN WANG BULOH CAVE
In the afternoon, we continue our trip on motorbikes for the next activity which is the climb to Wang Buloh Cave. At first I myself thought that the climbing route must be easy because in FAM TRIP before I had climbed Mount Baling, so this climb must be easy.
Apparently, it is not easy. Although the height is low, which is only about 110 meters, but without any training I must be very tired. Haha, that's a lot to eat. Alhamdulillah, about 45 minutes of climbing, my friends and I arrived at Wang Buloh Cave.
The Wang Buloh Cave is really beautiful, plus you can see dozens of bats here. After some pictures and videos were taken, it was time to go back down. On the way, I imagined cold and sweet iced tea.
Alhamdulillah, on the way back to Tuba Island Cottage, we had time to stop at a stall that provides the most delicious iced tea Langkawi I guess! Afterward, we rested around the Tuba Island Cottage area, while enjoying the view of the sea where the ebbing tide was rising.
DINNER AT WARUNG POKOK ASAM
After cleaning up and resting, the activities in the evening begin with dinner at Warung Pokok Asam. The small-scale warung has grown into a popular location for visitors to enjoy Mee Udang and several menus other.
The kuewtiow in Warung Pokok Assam was truly delicious and even my friend came back to tapau the food again before returning to our resort that night.
RUHAM AZIM (WEAVING MENGKUANG & TRADITIONAL MUSIC)
After a really tasty and filling dinner, we continued our journey by motorbike to Rumah Azim. In this house we can see how mengkuang weaving is produced, producing some quality items and prices that can reach hundreds of ringgit.
In addition, we also presented a singing performance by the Harapan Cultural Group. The singing and performances are quite entertaining. Around 11pm, we returned to Tuba Island Cottage to rest and sleep.
SECOND DAY IN TUBA ISLAND
TUBA ISLAND COTTAGE CHECK-OUT
As early as 8 am, we continue to prepare and prepare bags to take to the next accommodation location. For 3 days and 2 nights on Tuba Island, we stayed at two different accommodations.
BREAKFAST AT KAK TIMAH CHE NOOR
That morning we had breakfast at the same restaurant, Kak Timah Che Noor Restaurant. For the breakfast menu in the morning, it was really delicious. The seafood menu is my choice. After eating, we continued our journey to Pulau Tuba Jetty for the next activity.
BESTUBA BUGGY TOUR
As soon as we arrived at Pulau Tuba Jetty, we boarded a buggy prepared for the BesTuba Buggy Tour activity. The following are among the locations stopped in the BesTUba Buggy Tour, Tanjung Peluru, OOTD Spot, Buffalo Park, GeoPark Bridge and LekoShow.
✅ Tanjung Pulu
Located near the Jeti Kampung Tepi Laut, here we were taken to see 'mini oysters' and how to take them. This life is also one of the food in the dishes of the people here.
The scenery at Tanjung Peluru is also very beautiful. It's just that the weather is a bit hot, it hinders my emotions.
✅ OOTD SPOT & BUFFALO PARK
The BesTuba Bugger Tour continues to the popular OOTD spots and the Buffalo Park area. We also had a chance to take pictures in the heat, and later took pictures together with a herd of buffalo. They must be strange to see these humans who are excited to see buffalo.
✅ LEKOSHOW
The journey continued towards LekoShow. What is LekoShow? Well, LekorShow is a production location for original lekor crackers on Pulau Tuba which is different from other lekor crackers available in Malaysia.
You can see the process of making lekor crackers from start to finish. In addition, you can also try these lekor crackers yourself. For me, the lekor crackers here are tastier because of the denser content.
✅ GEOPARK BRIDGE
GeoPark Bridge is a bridge that connects Pulau Tuba and Pulau Dayang Bunting. Don't get confused, the popular Tasik Dayang Bunting is located on the other side while the side adjacent to Pulau Tuba has residents and is known as Kampung Selat.
Before the construction of this bridge in 2007, residents commuted by boat only. Now with the construction of this bridge, daily affairs are easier.
LUNCH AT KAK NAH MEE UDANG
The next activity, as I said before, is my favorite activity, which is eating. Located near the GeoPark Bridge, we were taken to eat seafood at Kak Nah Mee Udang.
BESTUBA BOAT TOUR
After satiety, activities continue again in the afternoon. The next activity is the BesTuba Boat Tour. Among the locations listed in this 'tour' are, island hopping, mangrove tour, Batu Reban and so on.
✅ Island Hopping
We were taken to see some small islands known as Pulau Lima and Pulau Dua. Its position is located in the south of Pulau Dayang Bunting. Had a chance to take a souvenir photo here.
✅ Batu Reban
This area is believed to have been a filming location for Hollywood movies. A beautiful area, also you can shout or chant something, your voice will be reflected back.
✅ Mangrove Tour
The tour continues to a well-maintained mangrove swamp area. Mangrove swamps are indeed known as very strong natural sea walls. Can also learn how mangrove swamp trees are planted naturally.
Alhamdulillah, the BesTuba Boat Tour activity ended and then we were taken to Pulau Tuba Jetty, and boarded a motorbike to the next accommodation location.
NOBA RESORT, DAYANG BUNTING ISLAND
The trip on a motorbike to Noba Resort, Dayang Bunting Island is truly peaceful. Although it is quite far, but the journey is very calm. As told, this Noba Resort is located in the part of Pulau Dayang Bunting that has residents.
Located in front of the sea, Noba Resort is indeed an attractive accommodation location, the facilities available are quite satisfactory. The rooms are also comfortable and have various types according to the guest's convenience.

DINNER AT ROGAYAH CAFE
After resting and cleaning up at Noba Resort, in the evening we headed to the area around Pulau Tuba Jetty for the next activity. Before doing the activity, we had dinner at Rogayah Cafe.
The menu prepared that night was quite appetizing. What is certain about Pulau Tuba is that seafood is the main food. I indeed ate a lot of squid, shrimp, and so on while I was here. Alhamdulillah.
SQUID JIGGLING
The most awaited activity during this trip is squid jiggling. In fact, in my entire life, this is the first time I have done this activity. I also often listen to friends' stories, imagining that I might be able to catch a squid.
Alhamdulillah, on this trip I also managed to do this activity. The trip started with a boat ride to the squid-jiggling area. Indeed, many boats with green lights can be seen, each of which is anchoring squid.
In addition, we can also see how to catch squid using the net. Really excited. We finished squid jiggling around 12 midnight and then returned to the jetty after finishing everything.
THIRD DAY IN TUBA ISLAND
For the third day, the activities on Pulau Tuba have already ended. That morning, I had time to take some photos around Noba Resort, and at 8.00 am we boarded the boat to the Kuah Tourism Jetty.
