ENJOY THE HIDDEN BEAUTY AT LION MARINE, PULAU SINGA BESAR, LANGKAWI

Lion Marine is the newest attraction on an island known as Pulau Singa Besar. An area with an area of half an acre is developed to accommodate various activities and interesting attractions for visitors.

For information, Pulau Singa besar is one of the main islands of the Langkawi archipelago. Located in the southern part of Langkawi Island and west of Dayang Bunting Island. The distance from Pulau Singa Besar to Kuah is only about 17 kilometers.

HISTORY OF GREAT LION ISLAND

According to legend and myth, Big Lion Island got its name from the guardian of this island known as Mambang Sari, who gathered lions on this island to guard it. Mambang Sari is definitely a myth and fairy tale as great as the story of Pulau Dayang Bunting. 

Singa Besar Island is also paired with a small island in the north which is Singa Kecil Island. Among other small islands around this island are such as Pulau Jong on the east side of Tanjung Pekula and Pulau Chupak on the southeast side of Tanjung Genting.

LION MARINE LANGKAWI

Lion Marine Langkawi is managed by Lion Marine Agency and is officially operational on 4 February 2024. Several facilities have been developed and several interesting activities have been designed to attract visitors to come here to see the beauty of nature and at the same time appreciate God's creation.

Alhamdulillah, on our second day in Langkawi, we managed to arrive at Lion Marine Langkawi. The journey starts at Teluk Baru Jetty, Langkawi and then board a boat for 10 to 15 minutes to Lion Marine Jetty. As soon as I got there, I could see the natural beauty that is so beautiful, with a solidly built pier calling visitors to come for recreation and so on.

OOTD AT LION MARINE!

Indeed, there are many interesting OOTD ports around this Lion Marine area. We were quite lucky because we arrived when there weren't many people, so we were able to take as many pictures as we could. After a few minutes passed, a rather large group arrived, came here to do some activities.

BBQ TIME

Alhamdulillah, after arriving and taking photos in the Lion Marine area, we enjoyed the BBQ-themed food prepared by the Lion Marine staff! 

This place is so peaceful and got to eat in front of the sea makes us feel calm. 

Among the menus we ate were chicken satay, grilled chicken, grilled squid, grilled shrimp and so on. It's delicious!

SNORKELING!

After eating and resting for a while, it's time for the next activity which is Snorkeling. Yes, Lion Marine also offers snorkeling activities, where visitors will be taken to see the coral reefs found around the seashore here.

Alhamdulillah, after each one was satisfied with soaking and so on, the time was approaching evening which meant we had to go back to the big island for the next location.

Yes, the facilities here are quite complete for me. There is a cafe that sells drinks and food to visitors and the prices are reasonable for the location here. It's even more interesting because this cafe accepts QR payments as well as cash. It's easy because there are people who don't bring cash when they travel nowadays right?

In addition, there are also toilets and bathrooms. It's just that the number of toilets and bathrooms may be increased and it may be made more 'comfortable' for the visitors.

In addition to being able to snorkel, visitors can also swim at the shore, make sand castles, healing by looking at the beautiful sea and so on. For those who like to take pictures, don't worry there are many places to take pictures near here. 

Lion Marine also cares about the cleanliness and care of the area around the island. Every day the garbage produced will be taken out and disposed of elsewhere. Burning is not allowed to protect the ecosystem and so on.
