LA BOHEME AEON BIG RECEIVED A HALAL CERTIFICATE. | La Bohome bakery products are one of my favorite bakeriesevery time and I never fail to buy their bakery everytime I went to AEON retails. My kids love their soft bun and the varieties of the products.

La Bohome at AEON Retails store already have their Halal certificate and now AEON BiG continues to drive efforts to bring Halal Products to customers. AEON BiG (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (AEON BiG) provides ease to its customers, especially to Muslim customers when La Boheme bakery products in the supermarket receive a Halal Certification from Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).

The handing over of the halal certificate was done by Tuan Bukhari bin Md Akhir, Director of the Halal Management Division of JAKIM to Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed, Managing Director of AEON BiG at a ceremony held at AEON BiG Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony was also witnessed by invited officials from JAKIM, also present Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, Director of AEON BiG and Dr. Kasuma Satria Mat Jadi, Chairman of the Internal Halal Committee of AEON.

According to Sheikh Farouk, "AEON BiG feels very grateful that the efforts to get halal recognition by JAKIM can be implemented smoothly. We would also like to thank JAKIM for the cooperation that has been all this while. This effort would not have been successful without the cooperation and assistance provided by all the employees involved.”

"We practiced great importance to the hygiene and quality of the food products sold in our supermarkets. It also includes obtaining Halal recognition by JAKIM where our Muslim customers will not have a doubtful feeling when shopping at our hypermarket,"

This event also provides exhibitions and displays as well as pocket talks regarding JAKIM's halal certification. One of the vendors during the exhibition is Mak Cun or also known as Erma Fatima. One of their famous products is their Sambal and I manage to try out their Sambal, and I do love how spicy it is.

Recently, AEON BiG has partnered with BubblesO2 branded beverage company to market their latest product in all AEON BiG supermarket branches nationwide. This collaboration was signed in conjunction with the Malaysia International Halal Exhibition 2022 (MIHAS 2022) which took place at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur recently.

In order to further strengthen efforts to market halal products and provide added value to its customers, AEON BiG is also involved in various programs with the ministry. Among them is a collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) in introducing the ‘Program Jualan Keluarga Malaysia’ (PJKM) and the Buy Malaysia Campaign (KBBM).
