This products definitely are Halal since it made by Muslim and using the Halal ingredients and meat. They sell in 3 size of packet that are 300gm, 500gm and also 1kg. The 500gm packet is enough for 3-4 person but of course if you wanted to eat it with more satisfaction, do go for 1kg. It is best to eat with plain rice, sticky rice, ketupat and lemang and even with bread. That morning I ate it with spaghetti oglio olio, it also taste really good. 

I don't how they made this Pak Jamal Daging Masak Hitam but I can say it is spicy, savory and not that sweet. It used curry leaf and also cardamom in their recipe as we can see when we eat it.
