Weekenders at Flinstone Chalet, Ulu Yam. | Hola everyone! Since the government announce a little freedom for fully vaccinated people, Malaysian has start to go out and enjoy the little freedom. Despite the cases that still high in some region but I guess many people like us, too bored stay at home for months and need the outside air.

So, me and my sister made plan and google around where we can go for picnic last weekend. We end up choosing Ulu Yam since my sister in law have been there and she had a great port she said. Haha.. anyway thanks to my sister Atiqah who willing to drive us there that day since my nephew also joining us that day.

The morning drive was very smooth and it took us less than hour to arrive the port we want to go but unfortunately it was closed. We met many car along the way and almost all chalet, resort is full with people. 2 resort are full and didn't accept anymore visitor and we end up at Flinstone Chalet.

Flinstone Chalet, have good parking space and we were lucky to get it immediately after entering the area. After parking, we were happily went outside and wanted to find our space for picnic. We were stop by the person in charge, but my guess he is the owner of the chalet. There is a fees to enter, where you will be charge RM5 per car and RM5 per person. And for my family, only Ghazy were not charges that day.

So, we have to be extra careful not to be too closed with others people and we choose a space near a bushes at the end of the chalet. Because we had a unplanned trip so we didn't have any tent or even don't have any picnic mat. We just bought a table cloth for us to sit down. haha.. Anyway we start to set up our BBQ place when we arrive. It took a very long time to make our charcoal burn properly and it all only happen with the help of the nearest tent who gave us their burn charcoal. haha

In here, they also have a barbeque space but of cos it is first comes first serve basis. But I saw that everyone are more comfortable using their barbeque gear, or even bring the small stove for the picnic. There is also a family who cook Ayam Goreng Berempah that day and the smell is so good. Other family even bring Sweet Potato for barbeque! 

Hence, we have planned our next picnic gonna be more awesome, maybe we bring marinated lamb, or pais ikan patin and corn. And we should buy a tent before we went for the next picnic too!

The river at Flinstone Chalet quite long and you can enjoy any where you like. If it happened to be crowded during your visit, do practice safe sop and went to the safer and uncrowded area. 

During our visit, they still didn't opened their chalet to the public hence I don't know the price for the chalet. But they have about 10 chalet for rent. They also have public toilet for you to use and in here they have about 8 toilet but it is a unisex toilet so just be careful when you are going to the public toilet.

They also a canopy for you to rent and during our visit, it full already. We actually arrived around 10am that day after we have to make u-turn from the other area we wanted to go at first.

They said, the river still clear because tourist just start coming during that week but I hope that everyone who came take care of the environment like you own that place. It is for our kids future too. And please before you go home, you all rubbish that you made and leave the place extra clean.

Anyway thanxs again to my sister who willing to drive us there that day and my sister in law who suggested the plan to my in law family. I guess this is the first barbeque picnic I went with my in law in my 10 years marriage. haha
