Hari Raya in Langkawi - Hi
everyone. Where will you be celebrating Hari Raya this year? As someone who
already married, we have to take turn to celebrate Eidulfitri with our family.
This year my first Eid will be with my in law family.
Last year, on the second Hari
Raya me and family went back to Taiping to celebrate Hari Raya at my father
hometown. And the third Hari Raya we went to Langkawi, yes we celebrating Hari
Raya in Langkawi last year. It was a great trip with my family members and it
always fun when we going back to my father hometown. Full of amazing trip and
of course I love all the food we had during the trip.

As someone who had relative in
the North, we always takes the opportunity to discover the North region in
Malaysia and of course my father will drive to any where he thinks worth to
discover. He will stop by at several places to let us enjoy the food, view or
maybe learn the history from it. But you know a journey to the North with a car
is tiring and it takes more than 8 hours to reach Langkawi. It will be great if
we takes flight from
Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi if you just wanted to visit Langkawi itself
right?
Flight
from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi only takes an hour if I'm not mistaken.
It much more relaxing and hassle free because there is so many public transport
or 'car for rent' available at the surrounding area. Did you know that you also
can used Traveloka apps to book your ticket flight and also book a hotel too.
It is a great help during traveling and I just realized if we used the apps
last year, it will be much easier when we wanted to travel.
Underwater World Langkawi |
Our trip last year to Langkawi
was a leisure travel and we did not went to much place as my mother wanted to
actually relax in a hotel after a month of tiring day handling her business. So
we only went to Underwater World and food hunting. We went to eat ’Laksa
Ikan Sekor' near to the airport, we also search for Nasi Dagang Pak Malau but
it was closed on the third Hari Raya. But then near the Nasi Dagang Pak Malau
stall there is also a good food to enjoy, whereas the Sambal Belacan Kuinin is
very superb! And of course there
is no trip to Langkawi without a bunch of chocolate from the Haji Ismail Group.
I even buy a casserole for my house and it seems that I'm getting old for
shopping something like that. haha

Sheraton Langkawi |
We had a good night at Sheraton
Langkawi(now known as Century Langkawi Beach Resort), the bed and room still
good but the hotel environment quite sad is like an abandon hotel but still the
kids were enjoyed with the pool and the beach is beautiful. Hence the most
beautiful beach in Langkawi is the Andaman Bay, me and my husband had our
practical at The Andaman(me) and The Datai(husband) , so we had our visit to Pantai
Tengkorak near to the Andaman. It brings all the memories during my practical
days and it was a fun time.

This coming Hari Raya, I still
didn't plan for a trip to anywhere yet. This year my first Hari Raya will be in
Kuantan, maybe we will be heading to Dungun to visit my husband relative there or
maybe to the North again. Missing all the Pasembor and Cendol in Taiping but a
good trip to Terengganu will be fun too, the beach is beautiful and there is
also a lot of place that I still need to discover. Maybe I need to check out on
Traveloka apps for the best hotel deals for this trip and planned it with my
family right?
Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya
everyone! Have a good holiday.
Happy Eid Mubarak to you and family.. maaf zahir dan batin :)
