Hi everyone...
Yesterday I had a chance to visit MAHA 2016. It was my first time visit this Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism 2016 (MAHA 2016) festivals and it does suprise me it has so many different place to visit and experience.
MAHA 2016 is happening from 1 – 11 December 2016, 10 am – 10 pm at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS). Here I will share to you what you need yo know about MAHA 2016. But before we go tour the place there is several tips I would like to share with you before you begin your journey.
Tips in MAHA 2016 :
1. Attire
Do wear a comfort attire such as sport shoes cos you will walking all day and there is a lot of mud you will stepping on.
2. Bring Your Own Drinks
A day of walking and food testing really need you to refresh yourself with a good mineral water. Brings your own drinks as it will help you a lot to save your money and time.
3. Parents With Kids
As a parents, I do brings my kids yesterday and it of cos a challenging because there is a lot of people.You have to monitor your kids closely, Stroller is a bit annoying for me. Do brings a carrier if you have one.
4. Brings Your Umbrella or Raincoat
The weather is hard to be predicted nowadays. Do brings your umbrella because if it hot you still can use it and if it is raining it will be much helpful.
5. Parking
Be early cos there will be a lot of people at the event so early birds got the worms. People do come before 8 to secure their parking lot. It will be much easier if you can park at Gate 2 too!
There you go some tips, so lets begin our journey. Pits stop at MAHA 2016 :
1. Nafas Cube @ Mardi
Nafas Cube is a collaboration project between National Farmers Organization (NAFAS) and Mardi. As you all know, container style accommodation is getting a lot of hype lately.
That morning I had a chance to meet Datuk Sri Shabery Cheek during our breakfast. He does acknowledge Bloggers as a great help in the social Media industry. Tq Datuk.

At Nafas Cube, there are 3 types of accommodation: Tent, Tube and Container.

This will be a great place to stay if you want to have a short vacation and runaway from the hectic town in the weekend.
2. My DOF Valley (Laman Perikanan)
The DOF Valley have so many interesting thing you need to know about fish, fish tank, how to kept a fish and so on. I had a lot of new information about thefish industry here. There is a fish tank that we can control using an apps nowadays. Cool and easy!

The Tuna House. Here you can try the latest creation of the satay range which is made by Tuna fish. It does taste great and taste like a chicken.

Also in DOF valley you can go the the Shark house and also can get to know the variety range of fish from the cheap one to the most expensive fish called Empurau. Do you dare to eat it?
3. Laman Padi Bernas
The third place of the day is Laman Padi Bernas. In here we can visit the paddy field, watch people playing football in the paddy field, learn the types of rice and the manufacturing process.

Every country have their own traditional beauty products and regime. In Malaysia, there is 'Bedak Sejuk' or in English it will translated as Cold Powder. Huhu.. but it actually works like a face mask but you don't have to exactly wash it after used it. Let it dry and it will fall by it self and you wipe your face it will feel like wearing a face powder.
So in here we can learn how to make this traditional Bedak Sejuk. Its a fun activities and it also my first time to learn how to made it. Hehe...
4. Pineapples Planet (Laman Nanas)
Who lived in the pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants? But you will not meet SpongeBob here only the pineapple..haha
This is the information centre for the pineapples industry. You can learn and gain all the information about pineapple farming from A to Z here. Interested to plant a pineapple? This is your place.
Do take a picture at the booth and learn how to make a paper from the pineapple leaves. It is a another experience and knowledge to learn that day.
After a tour in the Pineapple Land, lets enjoy the food based on pineapple. Do try the Pineapple Juice from the Bob Jus Nanas.Its so pure and sweet and have to artificial flavor. It used the sweet MD2 Pineapple that are well known with it great taste.

5. Laman Jentera or Automative Land
In this Automative Land you can discover the latest technology and all the equipment that are useful in the Agriculture industry. In here I do notice it attracts a lot of people from other countries because this technology are great to be use in their Agriculture industry too.

Apart from the great technology, you also can have the great product that are produce from the good source of farming such as the Nangka Ice Cream and the Corn Juice. It taste so pure and of cos they don't use any artificial flavor.

6. Laman Ternakan
The farming land as you know will highlight all the farming animal. The biggest highlight in here are the Lembu Sado. Lembu Sado (Belgian Blue), a breed of beef cattle that can produce doubling muscling.
They also teach everyone how to breed this species and the specialty of this breed. Others than this, you also can buy the milk products here.
7. Garden District – Laman Herba/Laman Sayur
My next stop of the day is the Garden District. Eventhough it looks like a boring place to go but it has a lot of benefit to be discover. If you love plants this is the place to go.
As you can see all the fruits here is very healthy and it is a result of using the great seed produce here after the research and development process. Do buy the seed here and please follow all the standard operating procedure, you will definitely have a good result of it. But then, do ensure you have the gifted green hand. :)

Do you know that Malaysian need more than 3000000 corn Maize per year? Do start planting cos you will be rich because of it.
At this Garden District, you also can found the Kelulut Farm. You can learn to breed the Kelulut Bee and even taste the honey directly from the bee hive. So how does it taste? Kelulut honey are quite soury compare to bee honey but it has much more benefits than the honey bee.

8. Rhythm of The Farmers
Rhythm of the farmers are great to be during the night actually because it has the beautiful scenery of the light sensation and during this MAHA event, there is concert happening everyday here.

This definitely a place that have so much love than anything.
9. Kampung Durian Runtuh
If you bring your kids this is the place to relax and enjoy with them. This is the Kampung Durian Runtuh Upin and Ipin. Before you enter the house of Upin Ipin do discover the others activities here.
This Brother Zek do give a lot of free stuff here. Do check out!
Belalai Gajah
This Belalai Gajah have a lot of benefits to prevent the cancer and reduce the risk of it.

Yup, there is a 100 of free coconut drinks everyday. Grab it while you can.
So here is the best part for kids. The Upin Ipin house. But wait you have to pay for it, it only cost you RM25 for the adult and RM10 for the kids. It is free for kids below 6 years old.
So it is worth to be here? Of course. There is a lot activity can be done and discover.

10. Kampung Mak Cun
Near the Kampung Durian Runtuh is Kampung Mak Cun. Who is Mak Cun? Mak Cun is a famous character from the tv series that shows the life of Malaysian in the village.
Here in Kampung Mak Cun you enjoy a lot of food from it food stall and relax with the great set up.
11. DOME #IATBAZAAR
Finally we went to the most hectic place in MAHA 2016. There is so much things happening in here from the food demo, food stall, games and others.

12. Food Empire
This is the heaven of food. Food Empire, give the opportunity to 62 entrepreneurs including 19 youth entrepreneurs to introduce the best menus of the country's 14 states.

Among the dishes include Perlis 'udang sanggol', Melaka 'asam pedas', Pahang 'pais ikan patin', Terengganu 'maggi ketam', Penang 'pasembor', Kedah 'moi sup', Johor 'kacang pool', Negeri Sembilan 'masak lemak cili api daging salai', Kelantan 'nasi ulam seratus lauk', Perak 'rendang tuk', Putrajaya 'nasi ayam berempah', Selangor 'nasi tomato', Sarawak 'mee kolok' and Sabah 'pisang goreng cheese'.

Last pit stop was the Castle of Fruits but we did not enter because we extremely exhausted.huhu.. I wish to go again today..hahaha..
Overall this is a good experience to me and I do enjoy being here and discovered so many new things I didn't ware of before this. Don't forget to join the last day of MAHA and maybe you are the lucky 3.5millions visitors you might bring home a lot of prize.
