Ramadhan is the month to giving and doing deeds but to the foodie is a heaven month to die for. You can get many special dishes during this month at exactly the same place; bazaar or restaurant. Here, I would like to suggest you to break fast during this holy month of Ramadhan with family and friends at Flavors Restaurant, Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences Kuala Lumpur.
Placing diners in mind, Swiss-Garden KL new Executive Chef, Chef Othman Abu Baker welcomes you with his rendition of the traditional Asean Asam Pedas dishes infused with a modern twist to suit the modern palate. Chef Othman is the new Executive Chef in Swiss-Garden Hotel Kuala Lumpur who has 28 years experiences in the culinary industry.

The spicy and sour dish is widely known in Sumatra and in the Peninsula Malaysia. This dish is part of the culinary heritage for both the Minangkabaus and the Malay. The Minang Asam Pedas can be easily found troughout Padang restaurants in Indonesia and Malaysia and it also has become a typical cuisine from jambi, Riau and Peninsula Malaysia and also as far north in Acer. However, the spices used in cooking may vary as well as the type of fish in accordance to their respective province.

There is two types of bubur lambuk (rice porridge) ; Bubur Lambuk Kampung Baru and Bubur Lambuk Unta. My choice was of cos the Bubur Lambuk Kampung Baru because of the vegetable in the porridge.

The Ramadhan Buffet Dinners, priced at RM118 nett per adult and RM59 nett per child will be available daily from 6.30pm to 10.00pm starting 6th June to 5th July 2016. Early bird bookings until 5th June 2016 will enjoy a 30% discount from the total bill. For groups of 20 persons and above, the Grand Hibiscus Ballroom and Grand Lotus Room are the perfect venues for entertaining corporate clients or for large family gatherings this Ramadhan.
