Taman Agroteknologi Mardi, Cameron Highland. | Hi everyone. Have you been to Taman Agroteknologi Mardi, Cameron Highland? Taman Agroteknologi MARDI, located in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia, is an agricultural park managed by the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).

About Agro Technology Park

The district of Cameron Highlands countryside is endowed with inexhaustible historical, natural and human riches, generously revealed to the visitor. Its traditional villages, enhance and complement a wonderful natural environment, with their local character, traditional architecture and village planning.

The MARDI Cameron Highlands Stations was first established by the British in 1925. It was then known as the Federal Experimental Station. Tea was first introduced in the country in 1925 and these early tea bushes are growing healthy at the station until today. The first tea factory built in 1935 is still capable of processing black tea.

The Agrotechnology Park MARDI Cameron Highlands is located within the station and was officiated by His Royal Highness DYMM The Sultan Of Pahang on 14th of June, 2003. Since then, about 65,000 visitors, visit the park each year.

The Agrotech Park is only 1km away from the town of Tanah Rata and easily reached by car, taxi, bus or even by foot. Among the major attractions are the English Garden, strawberry production, vegetable and cut flower production, greenhouse research and the sale centre.

To enter to the park you need to pay as cheap as RM1.50 for children and RM3 for adult! It so cheap right?

When entering the park you definitely will be amazed with all the flowers and fruits... There is a lot of flowers you can rarely see and one of the reasons it might be cannot survive in the hot weather... All the beautiful creation is so amazing...

There is a lot of facilities in the park such as:

1. Information Centre

At the information centre visitors can acquire information on MARDI Agrotechnology Park. There are also exhibits on MARDI's latest technologies and publications available for sale. Visitors purchase tickets to enter the park at the information centre.

2. Cafetaria

If tired of walking around the park, the cafeteria is available for snack and refreshments. Tea Cameron Highlands, strawberry juice and flavoured teas.

3. Sales Centre

The sale centre provides MARDI's products and products from relevant agricultural agencies, local farms and processed products from local entrepreneurs. Pot plants, fresh cut flowers and vegetables are also on sale.

4. Meeting Facilities

Meeting facilities are available for seminar/workshop to fit 100 person theatre seating. Facilities are rented upon request and approval from Park's Management.

5. Flower Nursery

At the flower nursery, visitors can enjoy the rich colours of flowering pot plants and cut flowers that thrive so well in the highlands. Ornamental pot plants and cut flowers are available for sale.

6. Walking Trail

Jungle walks number 3 and 7 goes through the park. Those interested in jungle tracking can enjoy and experience jungle walking to Gunung Berembun.

Up on the hill of the park, there is also a playground to spend time with your family. My family and I play with bubble balloons here. We had so much fun and took pictures non-stop.. Yup, it's time to capture some memories with your loved one.

If you can see the bridge there, there is also a rabbit park down there...

There are also many things more to be explored at this park but we did not have enough time to spend here.. Maybe I should come for another visit here... My daughter Zahra keeps saying wants to go back to Cameron Highland.. huhu.. Bonda need to save a lot more I guess so...
