Assalamualaikum everyone...
Another day in Ramadhan and I'm up with another post from my Exchange Feed Group challenge...so today topic is about my sahur experience...
Hurmmm.. as far as I remember I don't have any unforgotten sahur experience... But let me share you my Sahur experience so far...
Did you know Sahur is a Sunnah?
Sahur were defined as :
Suhūr (Arabic: سحور suḥūr, lit. "of the dawn", "pre-dawn meal"; also spelled suhoor, sahur, or sehri) is an Islamic term referring to the meal consumed early in the morning by Muslims before fasting, sawm, before sunrise during the Islamic month of Ramadan. The meal is eaten before fajr prayer. Suhur as the morning meal is matched by Iftar as the evening meal, during Ramadan, replacing the traditional three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Although in some places dinner is also consumed after Iftar later during the night. Being the last meal eaten by Muslims before fasting from dawn to sunset during the month of Ramadan, suhur is regarded by Islamic traditions as a benefit of the blessings in that it allows the person fasting to avoid the crankiness or the weakness caused by the fast.
According to a hadith in Sahih Bukhari, narrated Anas bin Malik:The Prophet said,تَسَحَّرُوا فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً
Mean: “take suhur as there is a blessing in it.”
Because of the blessing of Sahur, I decide to take sahur eventhough with only a glass of milk. When I'm in school and highschool, I refuse to take Sahur because I think Sahur makes me hungry later tomorrow... I don't know why, but I felt that way..huhu...
Later, when I grown up and during my Diploma study, I have a roomate that always enjoyed Sahur and makes me felt that is a great things to do.. and after that, I will always have my Sahur if I wanted to fasting...
Did you have your sahur this morning? I had my rice with chicken paprik... nom.nom.nom...
Do take your Sahur people!
Salam Alaikh,
Bersahurlah wlaupape pun.. Sbb ia sunnah :)
