FOOD REVIEW : Be Lohas! | LOHAS stands for “Lifestyle of Health and Sustainability” which means living a lifestyle that is healthy and environmentally friendly. The term has been cleverly translated to “Le Huo” in Chinese which means living happily.
lt has never been easy to be in the organic vegetarian food and beverage business. Spreading the message of healthy living had and still does require determination and persistence. Be Lohas uphold their initial commitment to promote genuine healthy vegetarian cuisine, and promise their customers only the best, deliciously healthy organic vegetarian dishes.
This restaurant has a great principle that attracted me most where at Be Lohas Healthy Cuisine, they advocate:
- Healthy Ingredient To use 70% organic vegetables, organic & natural ingredients, grape seed oil / olive oil, seasalt / rock salt to prepare our foods
- 4 “Lows” & 3 “Highs” Low salt, Low sugar, Low oil, Low calory; High energy, High fiber, High nutrients
- 5 “NOs” No MSG added, No GMO (Genetically Modified Organism), No artificial colouring, No chemical preservative, No microwave cooking
Purple clay cookware Their unique purple clay cookware releases Infrared when heated, breaking down the fats in food thus helping to lower cholesterol absorption by your body. Also, minerals released can raise the alkaline content of food that is being cooked, while iron helps in blood building.
So it means, healthy, healthy and healthy right?
That day we eat 2 recommended menu which are the 5 Colours of Energy Lei Cha and the Organic Soya Milk Curry Laksa Noodles !
Five Colours Energy Chinese Ulam Rice (Hakka Lei Cha) RM21.90
They conclude the Lei Cha as :
Where the different colours of the dishes help to nourish different organs:
- Black (Kidney) - Organic black fungus/ Organic Sesame
- White (Lung) - Organic Cabbage/ Organic home-made dried white radish
- Red (Heart) - Organic Carrot
- Green (Liver) - Organic Lettuce/ Organic Cucumber/ Organic Long Bean
- Yellow (Stomach) - Organic Millet/ Brown Rice/ Cashew Nut
So how does it taste like?
For me its like eating Nasi Kerabu without the Budu and Belacan which is make it less attractive to eat..hihi..so i ate it with the chillies and ketchup slice.. hihi..
Banku Roll
This Banku roll is one of good appetizer and it is served with mayonnaise and salad...
Soy Cheese Stick
Soy cheese Stick also a great snack! You should try it because the cheese has a different taste compare to the usual cheese in the market because it use soya, not milk!
Organic Soya Milk Curry Laksa Noodle RM18.90
I always love Curry Laksa but this Curry Laksa really has a different taste compare to the norm in the market. it use soya milk and it taste so creamy and great. You can enjoy a creamy Curry Laksa without worrying having to much calories and gaining so much fat. how cool is that? hihihi..
I truly recommended this dishes if you wanted to dine in here!
Pesto Sauce Spaghetti
Okay this Pesto sauce is not so Italliane maybe it is not their specialities... :D
Summer Fruit Tea
The Summer Fruit tea also one of the recommended menu in here, it bottomless and also you can taste so many unique flavor in this tea. It has lemon, orange, passion fruit and etc.
If you want to check out their menu you can go this link : http://www.bmsorganics.com/be-lohas/be-lohas-menu.php but the menu is not updated... huhu..
